Easter review & recipe: Butterkist hot cross bun popcorn pizza

I love trying new & interesting flavours so when I heard about the new Butterkist Limited edition Hot cross bun flavour popcorn I just HAD to try them!

I was sceptical at just how much these would taste like hot cross buns and when I first opened the bag and there wasn't much of that delicious spiced fruit smell about them, I was worried.

But I needn't have been. What these lack in smell, they more than make up for in taste. They taste EXACTLY like hot cross buns!

So if you like popcorn and you like hot cross buns, this combination is sure to be a winner for you.

And wherever popcorn is involved, movies have to be too. They just go hand in hand in this house.

Perfect for an Easter themed movie night with the kids over the holidays.

However, if like me you like to mix things up a bit too, you could try making one of these delicious popcorn pizzas.

They are fabulous fun for the children to make and would make a lovely Easter gift for somebody too.

300g milk chocolate
A cake decor choco writer or 20g white chocolate
A handful of raisins
A handful of Butterkist hot cross bun popcorn

1. Line a small round tin with baking paper.

2. Melt the milk chocolate in a bowl over a pan of water or in the microwave

3. Pour into your tin, spread evenly and cover with the raisins and popcorn.

4. Melt the white chocolate tub in a jug of boiling water for a few minutes, until soft.

5. Cut the end off and pipe over the top of the pizza. Leave to cool in a cool place but not the fridge as the popcorn will go soggy. Cut into slices and store in an airtight container at room temp.
