Easter | Recipe Round-up

Whether you are looking for something to bake with the children over the Easter Holidays or something for an Easter get together buffet table, I have put together my favourite selection of bakes and makes for this Easter Season.

Biscuits

This super simple Iced Easter Biscuits recipe is a basic biscuit base but made super special with the decoration on top.
These are iced with candy melts for super ease and look so effective.
Grab your self some Easter themed cookie cutters and head on over to see how to bring them to life.

My boys club offers a lovely traditional Easter Biscuits recipe, packed full of dried fruits, lemon and cinnamon for a real Easter spice flavour that packs a punch.

These Spring pansy Shortbread biscuits are my absolute favourite. I mean, how pretty do they look? And yes, they are real pansies on the top there!
These are perfect as something slightly different from the usual egg or bunny themed Easter bake and just scream Spring elegance.

This Chewy Mini Egg Cookies is one of mine and has literally never failed me. So simple with only 5 ingredients (plus whatever you want to put in them like mini eggs etc), it guarantees chewy cookies like those you buy in the supermarket (only better!)
The possibilities are endless really with what you can add from dried fruit to chocolate chips but to give them a real Easter twist, Mini eggs are the way to go!

Cakes

If you're looking to bake something that looks awesome but with absolute minimal effort this Easter then head on over to Daisies and Pie who have this Easy Easter Cake recipe using packet mixes and has only 3 instructions. Easy Peasy!

These Chocolate Bunny Cakes look like they take a bit more effort than most, with the grass effect on top, but don't be fooled. This is as easy as piping any other cake, it just uses a slightly different nozzle which gives this awesome effect. Simply top with a malteser bunny and some chocolate beans and Voila! Includes the recipe for the chocolate sponge too!

Dear Bear and Beany has a great recipe for kids to get involved with over the Easter holidays, mainly because there is no cooking involved (my kids can't be the only ones who hate waiting for cakes to cook and cool? They do the measuring and mixing and they want it done!!) This Crispy chocolate fridge cake goes straight into the fridge to set and is so easy yet looks delicious!

Super effective with minimal effort and ingredients are these utterly adorable Bunny Ear Cupcakes from The Gingerbread House. Make sure you have your cupcakes baked and ready (or cheat and buy some plain cupcakes from the supermarket!) and head on over to see how she makes these cute cupcakes with just some marshmallows, glitter, frosting and a jelly bean for each nose.

Hodgepodge Days has a slightly different recipe which isn't strictly Easter themed but she has topped her Peppermint crunch slices with Dark Chocolate mint crisp mini eggs here to give them a little Easter twist! If you like chocolate and you like mint, these are sure to be a winner.

Would it even be Easter without an abundance of Creme Eggs? Check out Blissful Domestication's ingenious way of making a chocolatey version of Scotch eggs using a creme egg surrounded by sponge cake and chocolate. YUM!

How fun and colourful does this Easter Rocky Road Cake look? All the chocolatey-ness of a Rocky road cake, packed full of mini eggs for a delightful Easter spin on this classic recipe.
I love the coloured drizzles on top too!

Savoury

I love all of the sweet treats around at Easter time but it is nice to have a something fun to make that isn't quite so unhealthy and fattening huh? These Easter Bunny Quiche's by Friendly First Foods are THE cutest and super easy to make. No messing about making pastry with these as the base is made from tortilla wraps! Definitely a winner with the kids this Easter and would look fab on an Easter buffet table.

Gluten Free

Hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny, two a penny, hot cross buns....
I mean, Hot Cross Buns ARE Easter right? Having to eat gluten free doesn't mean you have to miss out on all the yumminess with Craft with Cartwright's delicious Gluten Free hot cross buns recipe here.
